The European Conference on Cognitive Ergonomics 2010 is the 28th annual conference of the European Association of Cognitive Ergonomics. It has a long standing history and is one of the first conferences in the area of cognitive ergonomics, human technology interaction and cognitive engineering. It aims to provide an opportunity for researchers and practitioners to exchange new ideas and practical experience in all areas of cognitive ergonomics. By presenting and discussing innovative research, ECCE2010 participants will explore knowledge and research areas in cognitive ergonomics with the aim of developing and enhancing the relationship between cognitive sciences and technical information processing system developments.

This year, for the first time, the main conference will be preceded by a day of workshops. More information about the conference can be found in the programme booklet .

The ECCE2010 conference proceedings is now available in the ACM digital library.

We are also proud that Takanori Shibata, Brenda Wiederhold, and Panos Markopoulos have agreed to be keynote speakers at ECCE2010. More information about their keynote and the conference programme is now available.

The interdisciplinary journal Interacting with Computers will feature a special issue with a selection of the best long papers presented at the conference. Furthermore, extended papers from the short paper categories will be invited to a special issue of the International Journal of Cognitive Performance Support.

On August 24th – 26th, 2011 ECCE2011 will be held in Rostock, Germany.
