Introduction
You are invited to take part in this online usability test of an MP3 player. To participate you need to be a student or staff member of Brunel University, and you need to be 18 years or older. Furthermore you need to run Microsoft Windows and have speakers (or a headphone plugged in). The aim of this study is to understand how people rate the usability of this application and its components. The study has 3 phases. In the first phase you will download the MP3 Player and some MP3 files to your PC. In the second phase you will complete a series of tasks with the MP3 Player. In the last phase of the study, you will complete a questionnaire to evaluate the usability of the application. Depending on the speed of your Internet connect, this test takes around 15 minutes to complete.
Please note that participation in this test is entirely voluntary and you can withdraw at any time during the test. The result obtained in this test will be made publicly available on this website, and will also be submitted to an international academic journal. Please note that you will not be referred to by name (or by your email address) in any of these reports.
