Air Filter
The engine sucks air from the airflow coming from the ventilator also cooling the engine.
The bad thing about this is that this airflow contains quite a lot of small and probably hard particles
coming from the clutch, which is immediately on top of the ventilator.
I hope to avoid problems with this by using a simple air filter. There was no place
for a better filter, but this one will filter out at least the larger particles.
I thought that a tie-rap would not fasten the filter tight enough, so
I used to glue it with CA to the engine.
However, it often vibrated loose in about 60 flights, probably due to oil...
A tie-rap and no CA seems to work better.
Currently I don't use an air filter, because the OS50 has to be tuned
very rich during and during spin-up it seemed to choke itself when the air filter
was present. I think that those problems are under control now, and
probably I will reinstall the air filter in the future.
