Phasing

The raptor tends to barrel-roll a bit during a loop. This can be partially corrected if you have a head with adjustable phase ring. The TDG head and the TT upgrade metal head have such a ring.
However the amount of phase correction is limited to a few degrees, above that the paddle link control rods start to bind against the head block. My machine could use some more phase correction.

The correction depends on the head speed, and also seems a bit different for rolls versus loops. This year (2005) I increased RPM for 3D to about 2000, and put the phasing back to 0. It seems to work fine now.
