Delft University of Technology
I am an assistant professor at Delft University of Technology in The Netherlands, working in the Man-Machine Interaction Section.

I am also an associate researcher within the  School of Information Systems, Computing and Mathematics at Brunel University in the United Kingdom.
 

eMental Health
I am currently involved in reseach which looks at establishing systems to treat patients with mental health problems, such as virtual reality exposure therapy.  
 
Negotiation

In this project we look at how computers can support an individual during all phases of negotiation. The aim is to develop a pocket negotiation tool.
 

Urban search & Rescue missions
In this project we study how computer technology can be used during an emergency response. Especially, we consider the often distributed nature of the response organisation and the individual walking wounded. In these situation it seems important that people can colleborating  at a distance.
