Delft is a city and municipality in the province of South Holland (Zuid-Holland), the Netherlands, Europe, located halfway between Rotterdam and The Hague; it has a typical Dutch centre with canals.

Delft is world-famous for its Delft Blue pottery (“Delftware”), and being the birthplace and hometown of the world-famous painter Johannes Vermeer (1632-1675), as well as its association with the Dutch Royal Family.

    The venue of the Conference is the Delft University of Technology, Faculty of Electrical Engineering, Mathematics and Computer Science. This Faculty is located on the Mekelweg 4 on the University Campus. Click here for a map of the campus, the Faculty is indicated on this map by nr 36. The conference will be held on the first floor, in the Snijders Room. You can find this room by, after entering the building, walking up the stairs to this floor one level up, taking a short left turn, and going to your right again, walking up to the first corridor to your left, walking through this corridor, and the room will be on your left hand.

    You can get to this location either by public transport, from the central station:

  • From station Delft, take bus 129 (to Rotterdam CS) and get off the bus at busstop "Cornelis Drebbelweg", or

  • From station Delft, take bus 69 (to TU Zuid) and get off the bus at busstop "Stieltjesweg"


  • Or by walking from your hotel, which should be about 15-20 min if it is located in the center of Delft.
